Headlines of drought and flood events across the United States kick off this unit. Students then use models, data and evidence gathering, hands-on investigations, readings, and computer interactives to explore in depth how a changing climate affects different communities. The unit concludes with students evaluating different kinds of solutions to the identified problem.
